throughout the Coachella Valley by representing
to local governments the interests of
California Desert Association members and the
buying, selling, and leasing public.

Government Affairs Director
Burt McChesney is the California Desert
Association of REALTORS® (CDAR) first
Government Affairs Director and works to
enhance C.D.A.R.'s local government relations,
political affairs and political survival
fundraising program.
Burt brings nearly three decades of public
policy, political and real estate experience to
CDAR. Before retiring in 2004, Burt had served
for nearly thirty years in various consulting
positions for the California legislature, been
Chief of Staff for California's Lieutenant
Governor and served for ten years as one of the
California Association of REALTORS® lobbyists
