California Desert Association of REALTORS® Roll Out New Logo, Tools for Realtors, Public

PALM DESERT (Calif.) – The California Desert Association of REALTORS®, is rolling out a new logo July 2 and a high tech list of marketing tools to benefit real estate agents, buyers and sellers.

"This new logo is not just a makeover but reflects our transition from an over-the-counter service to our members to the digital and new media services that help them and the buyers and sellers they serve," said Greg Berkemer, executive vice president of the California Desert Association of REALTORS®.

The fresh logo, the first new one in a decade, is the well known acronym CDAR for the largest realty trade organization in the Coachella Valley from Palm Springs to Coachella. The "A" in CDAR is the iconic house with an inset of a person to illustrate CDAR's mission to serve buyers and sellers.

"We want to give our members, about 3,000 of them, more access to more tools," Berkemer said.

For the public, one of the most exciting new tools is Smarter Agent, a smart phone app. that connects to the GPS-based Multiple Listing Service to search for homes, condos and rentals along with valuable information about the area. The app. is available for IPhone, IPad (via ITunes), Android and Blackberry smart phones.

The public can also access www.SoCalDesertMLS.com to search for homes and condos for sale in the Coachella Valley.

For real estate professionals, new tools include Listing book, a client management program, Point2, a listing syndication services, RPR, a property information database, Find, a property search tool, Cloud CMA, a comparable marketing analysis, Market Snapshot, a lead generation program and rDesk, agent tools to assist agents to stay in touch with their customers.

The California Desert Association of REALTORS® Web site, www.caldesertrealtors.com also allows public and real estate professionals access to many useful real estate resources such as the Desert Area Commercial Information Exchange for commercial real estate availability, the Desert Young Professional Network for real estate agents and other real estate information.
